About the class...
This class will be an introduction to touching and listening to the head.
We will start with an emphasis on contact, using our understanding of the Shape of Qi as a point of reference to learn how to touch and hold the head softly and safely.
We will then explore the anatomy of the cranium: the sutures, the membranes, and the channels. We will learn to appreciate the 3 dimensional motions of the Yang Rhythm in the head and more deeply appreciate this aspect of the Yang Rhythm in the rest of the body as well.
Throughout the EV Fundamentals Series, we have avoided the head. After completing the Fundamentals Series and spending time calibrating soft "water hands" in practice, we are ready to bring the head into our EV exam and treatment flow as the 8th listening post.
We will practice Local Listening and Channel Listening as relates to the head, and integrate this information into our TEAM diagnosis and treatment.
There will be a follow-up Cranial Part 2 class offered in the Spring to consolidate the material from this class and take it a step further.
This class is open to anyone who has taken the EV Fundamental Series.
