CUPPING
Cupping was made more popular by the swimmers in the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio, but we've been using cupping, especially on aching, tight backs, since the start of the clinic in 2006. We use cupping in conjunction with Acupuncture treatments, and find it to be really effective!
CHINESE HERBAL MEDICINE
Chinese Herbal Medicine has been around for at least 2500 years. We have a full herbal pharmacy at the clinic, and use herbs as an adjunct to our Acupuncture treatments. When appropriate, we design custom formulas for our clinic patients. We are both board certified in herbal medicine, and continue to study and practice, in order to provide the best possible care to our patients.
JACK RADNER, LICAC
I started my studies of Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture at the Seattle Institute of Oriental Medicine in 2000. For three years after graduating in 2003, I had a private practice in Poulsbo, WA. I moved to the Pioneer Valley in 2006, and was thrilled to find a space in Sharon Weizenbaum’s practice, White Pine Healing Arts. And not just any space, it came with an extensive herbal pharmacy which allowed me to continue my practice and study of Chinese Herbal Medicine, and I quickly realized that the space was large enough to accommodate the sliding-scale community clinic that I had been waiting for the right time and place to open.
